After getting a Thermalabs tanning spray and tanning tent, let’s go professional.

IMPORTANT
– Take precautions to eliminate eye contact, inhalation or ingestion during the spraying process. Protective eye wear, nose filters, lip balms to seal lips, protective undergarments.
– As a basic, your client should exfoliate with products low on oil and shave, 12-24 hours before spraying. Shaving the after spraying makes the color fade faster.
-Apply a barrier cream to the client’s hands and feet. Check their knees and elbows, and if it has dry skin apply a barrier cream. Be sure that those parts are well covered.
– Tell your client not to move their drastically to avoid creases. If this occurs, it just likely a build-up of the cosmetic bouncer and will wash away as your client showers.
– Before spraying to your client, test spray pattern to the insides of your tent.
-Be sure that you have an even amount of light, no matter where the client stands. This will ensure an even distribution of color; one area is not darker than the others.
-Talk to your client so that they would feel more comfortable.
STEPS
1. Start with the back

Spray one stroke from the shoulder down. Be sure to keep an even distance between the skin and the nozzle. Follow the contour. Move to the next vertical line and follow the same stroke. Keep a constant speed.
Add an extra spray on the outside of the abdominal area.
While you are spraying, observe how your client’s skin absorbs the product.
2. Back of the legs

Sit to maintain an eye level to where you are spraying. Spray from the hips down. Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
3. Front of the legs
Sit to maintain an eye level. Spray from the hips down. Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
Have your client pivot theirs and spread apart; to see the full inside.
Do a second stroke on the outside of the legs for a natural contour.
4. Front feet
Gently mist over. Do not spray too much since they already catch the excess solution.
5. Front abdominal

You can now stand up while spraying. Spray from the bikini top and stop at the lower bikini. Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
Move to the left until you spray the entire area.
Add spray on the sides for a natural shade.
When spraying the hip bones follow a V pattern to follow its shape; the top going to the center down.
6. Chest
The skin here is thinner and requires less spraying. Follow a V pattern to follow its shape; shoulder going to the cleavage. You can move your nozzle a bit farther compared to the other parts.
Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
7. Arms
Spray horizontally from the shoulder joint going to the backhands. Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
This is the tricky part, as there is no easy way to stand, considering the size of the tanning tent. The easiest way is for you to move around your client.
Do not spray the palms and armpits.
8. Shoulder
After spraying the arms, this is the next part. This part of the body is the most missed. Remember that you sprayed near the shoulder portion when you sprayed on arms, chest, and back. Spray from the bottom of the next going to the shoulder.
Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
Best to have your client tie their hair.
9. Neck

This part of the body has thinner skin and requires less spray. You can move your nozzle a bit farther compared to the other parts. Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed.
Blow with air after a spray. You can do another cycle if needed and blow with air.
10. Face
Be sure that the client’s eyes are closed or they are wearing eye covering. Instruct them to hold their breath while spraying.
Follow a vertical and horizontal stroke. This will ensure that the face gets maximum coverage.
Follow the contour. Keep a constant speed. Pause from the time to for the client to breath.
